If you are like many of the leaders we serve, you'll agree that it is easy to feel divided and disintegrated. I'd like to point you to a couple resources written by a couple of friends and soul care practitioners whose voices help call us home to. To be whole. The first is author, counselor and professor Chuck DeGroat. This book, "Wholeheartedness" is a masterful trail map for the ongoing recovery and care of self and soul. The second resource actually was birthed as a result of a pastors retreat we facilitated in partnership with Chuck DeGroat several years ago. Jason English, a friend of mine and teaching pastor at theHeart in Boone, NC, was an attendee on that pastors retreat. Jason returned home so affected by the time together that he commissioned several pieces of art that became the centerpiece for his own new book, "The Whole Thing" which has recently been released. The Story of the Bible in Six Images," Jason English, theHeart's Teaching and Vision Pastor, explores how the biblical narrative isn't about brokenness, but wholeness.
